Moodle

City’s online learning environment. Enhance the learning experience by providing access to module content, activities and assessment.

Your line manager requests an account as part of your IT set-up.

  • Go to Moodle

  • Sign in with your IT username and password.

NB: Visiting lecturers and external examiners may have to log into Moodle to activate their accounts before being enrolled on a module.

Zoom

Present online sessions, with or without video. You can record sessions, collaborate on projects, and share or annotate on one another's screens.

City holds an institutional licence for Zoom. You can access it using your City IT login and password.

  • Go to https://city.ac.uk/zoom

  • Select Sign in

  • You will be directed to the City login page

  • Enter your City credentials and select Sign in

  • After Sign in you will be directed back to the Zoom portal.

Lecture Capture (Echo 360)

Request automatic recordings of lectures and make them available on Moodle.

Schedule a recording via the IT Service Portal or access an existing recording in Moodle.

Poll Everywhere

Run interactive polls, surveys or competitions in your classroom.

Request an account via the IT Service Portal.

City Blogs

Staff and students can blog about learning, teaching and research activities at City.

Your department will subscribe you to shared blogs.

Request your own blog via the IT Service Portal.

  • Log in with your IT username and password.

Turnitin

Generate similarity reports for assignments and use them to teach students how to properly cite and reference.

Access the Feedback Studio via Turnitin assignments in Moodle.

To access Turnitin via the website, request an account via the IT Service Portal.

  • Log in via Moodle.
