Drag and Drop Questions

Drag and drop questions can be used in a number of ways to assist students.

There are 3 Drag and Drop question types: 

This question type enables the student to answer the question by placing a marker or multiple markers onto the image that the question is using.

To create a drag and drop question you will first need to add it to the Question Bank and add it to the Quiz afterwards. Information on how to do this can be found on the main Quiz page.

After the quiz is set up, you will have to edit it to add the Drag and Drop question.

  • When you go to add a question to the Question Bank, choose Drag and Drop onto image

  • Add question Name and Text

Preview

  • From the Preview area, upload a Background image to drag the answers onto.

Draggable items

  • From the Draggable items area, select Draggable text or Draggable image for each Draggable item and add items that will later be added to Drop zones on the image.
  • The Shuffle drag items each time a question is attempted allows you to shuffle the item areas.

  • In the Preview area, click Refresh preview to enable draggable items for drop zones

  • In the Drop zones area, select a Draggable item for each drop zone.

  • The Draggable items will appear in the Preview area.
  • Note that you may have to click Refresh preview first.
  • Drag and drop each item to the correct location and the co-ordinates should populate automatically.

  • Save changes
  • Preview the question to check it is working.
