Create

Turn editing on.

In your Moodle module, select the section you would like to upload to and select Add an activity or resource.

Select Video Resource from the list.

General

In the General box:

  1. Provide a meaningful Name
  2. Provide a Description
  3. Then click on Add media

Add Media

In the Video box, click on the Add Media button.

A pop-up window will appear. In the Add New menu in the top right, click on Media upload.

On the next screen, click + Choose a file to upload.

Types of file

The Video Resource allows you to upload all common file types for video, audio and images.

Some of the common ones are:

  • Video: mp4, mpg, m4v, mov, flv, avi, wmv
  • Audio: mp3, wav, aiff, m4a, wma
  • Image: jpg, jpeg, png, bmp

Select your file


Your computer will open a file explorer. Navigate to the file you want to upload and double-click to select it.

Finish

You do not need to enter any information on this page; select Save and embed to add the file as a Video resource.

Add to Moodle

Back on the original Moodle page, click Save and return to course or Save and display.
